Rules, schmules

We all know that rules in NASCAR are vague. The joke has been made many times over at Talladega that it's all in having the right last name.

Guess that last name at Daytona is "Judd."

Maybe not, but as more than one writer has pointed out on this Monday after qualifying, that if Ashley Judd wants to wear a dress, let her.

If you didn't know, the rules are pretty strict (or at least we thought they were) that you have to wear pants and close-toed shoes to be on pit road or in the garages. They've actually sent Anniston Star writers (not this one) home for not following along.

Nobody sent Ashley home. Nobody will in the future, either, I'm sure.
